Well - That's it - All over for another year. Having flown out of Dar es Salaam , we eventually left Nairobi at 2am the following morning - two hours late after one of the aircrew had taken ill. On landing at Heathrow we had a mad dash across to Terminal 1, where we made our connection to Inverness by the skin of our teeth - with 10 minutes to spare. Our son, Kevin was waiting to convey us back home. Time to dump the bags (for a day anyway !!) - put the kettle on - feet up - catch up with the football results - and then ...............  Where did we put that 2007 Explore brochure ??!!
Before we turn away from Africa - we are very keen to see the Victoria Falls, so a May trip to Botswana is  the early favourite for 2007 - and who knows - we may meet some of our Tanzanian friends again.

I hope that all our fellow-travellers, and staff of Explore have enjoyed reading the diary as much as I have
enjoyed putting it all together. For those who are considering this trip with Explore - I hope this will have given you
a little bit of encouragement. It was a great trip -  a really enjoyable experience, with a great crowd of people.
