Before my wife,
Nancy and I took up residence in Scotland,
The Highlands had become our favourite holiday destination.
So after moving here we had to find an alternative.
With our love of wildlife, Africa seemed a natural choice, and
our first visit - to The Gambia in 2003 only whetted our appetite.
Our second visit, in 2005, to Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda prompted
us to keep diaries, later turning these into photo-diaries on our
website.
We logged our daily adventures through the Masai Mara, and
into the mountainous rainforest of Rwanda to meet the
rare mountain
gorilla. A trip to Tanzania followed in 2006,
visiting the Ruaha and
Selous Reserves, Botswana in 2007, and our most recent trip,
to Namibia in September 2008 has now been added.
