Before my wife, Nancy and I took up residence in Scotland, The Highlands had become our favourite holiday destination. So after moving here we had to find an alternative. With our love of wildlife, Africa seemed a natural choice. Our first visit - to The Gambia in 2002 only whetted our appetite. Our second visit, in 2005, to Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda prompted us to keep a diary, logging our daily adventures through the Masai Mara and into the mountainous rainforest of Rwanda to meet the rare mountain gorilla. A trip to Tanzania followed in 2006, visiting the Ruaha and Selous Reserves, Botswana in 2007, and now our trip to Namibia in September 2008 is eagerly awaited. |
